Nestlé works with trade associations to achieve balanced public policies and seeks at all times to support government positions that favour ethical business conduct. Our advocacy efforts focus on supporting governments to enact clear, legislated and enforced Codes of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes as appropriate to the social and legislative framework of their countries.
Nestlé is a founding member of the International Special Dietary Foods Industries (ISDI) and of the International Association of Infant Food Manufacturers (IFM), which were formed to encourage responsible marketing standards for the infant food industry and to facilitate industry dialogue with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and governments.
At the European level, Nestlé is a member of the European Dairy Association (EDA) and of the Association of the Food Industries for Particular Nutritional Uses (IDACE).
Nestlé also takes part in national associations in countries where we have a significant business.
