Congress participation Nestlé’s exhibit at the International Union of Nutrition Science congress in Bangkok, Thailand, in October 2009

Nestlé participates at different global public health nutrition conferences and workshops. At these events, we present Nestlé’s initiatives to improve our consumer’s health and nutrition. This includes exhibits and presentations on Nestlé product innovation, Nestlé health, nutrition and development activities in the developing world, and our scientific capabilities.

Typical of Nestlé's recent congress participation was our recent presence at the International Union of Nutrition Science congress in Bangkok, Thailand, in October 2009.  The Nestlé exhibit was themed “Nutrition Security for All: Creating Shared Value with Affordable Food Fortification”. A visit by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand to the Nestlé stand was the highlight among many successful Nestlé events at this gathering of 4,000 influential nutrition science and public health opinion formers.

Other events included a Nestlé Nutrition Institute sponsored lunchtime symposiums on “Nutrient Rich Foods in Improving Public Health” and Nestlé’s sponsored symposium on “The Emerging Food and Nutrition Insecurity Crisis:  Creating the Bases for a Successful Multi-Sector Response”. 

Throughout the week, a total of 10 briefings by Nestlé scientists – accompanied by product samplings - animated the 100m2 Nestlé stand; and a VIP dinner for opinion formers from Thailand and neighbouring Nestlé markets further consolidated relationships.
