Our Contribution to Science


With a research heritage going back to the very beginnings of food science, Nestlé continues to lead the field in food and nutrition research. From basic research, to specialised product development and production, to knowledge-sharing, to protecting the superiority of breastfeeding for infants, everything is done to provide for the nutritional needs of our smallest consumers.

Today approximately 5000 people work in Nestlé R&D to find specific solutions for complex nutritional needs. Our scientists are committed to discovering new ways for nutrition to contribute to good health and to meet the specific nutritional needs of people at every stage of their lives.
